The project site is bedded among the hills south of the small charming village of Santa Ana and Piedades in the Western part of the central valley of Costa Rica and forms part of the ecologically protected area of the Cerros de Escazu.
The size of the property is 90 HA (224 Acres) of beautiful rolling hills covered with a great variety of trees and bushes of the moderate tropics, within the peaceful and serene setting of the nature reserve. Spectacular views sweep all over the central valley and down to the pacific ocean. The altitude ranges between 1000m and 1500m. This property can be developed into different segments.
Santa Ana is located at an altitude of 900m in the aptly called Valley of the Sun (Valle del Sol), a region which captivates because of its climate and beautiful nature surroundings. Its sunny and marvelous climate, an average of 74 to 78 F°, has made the region the most attractive of the central valley for living. Shopping malls, office centers, a hospital (Central America's best medical facility), golf courses, schools,restaurants, and other amenities have been built during the last few years.
Thankfully the uncontrolled growth of the city of San Jose which somewhat affected other parts of the Central Valley has been prevented in Santa Ana, because a zoning plan had been installed in time, which made Santa Ana the lush green area it is today.
The instillation of an aqueduct several years ago caused a veritable boom of construction in Santa Ana and the energetic movement of San Jose towards the West, a movement which had been expected for a long time.
The project is within, but on the edge of a 20,000 acre nature reserve and just above Santa Ana, far enough away as not to be bothered by development, but close enough to profit from the amenities by a five minute car drive. This location makes it very attractive for future buyers. The location of the project makes it convenient to San Jose's new "Juan Santa Maria" international airport, which is approximately 25 minutes away.
The distance to the capital of Costa Rica, San Jose, is approximately 15 km or 25 minutes by car on the highway. A new highway, which is under construction, will connect Santa Ana to the Pacific Ocean and its wonderful beaches in a 45 minute drive.
